ISSUE # 1 Winter Solstice 2025

INTRODUCING
PatchRoot.org
PatchRoot.org is a seasonal journal and public digital commons.
Conceived and germinated in Spring 2025, it has evolved into a collective space for regenerative storytelling, documentation, and shared participation.
We are confirming our first eight panelists and forming our Stewardship Circle — a collaborative circle of leadership that guides nominations, themes, and direction.
Our first complete issue will be published on Winter Solstice — December 21 2025, titled the Post-COP30 / Policy Makers & Governance Edition, featuring our first Recognition Awards.

Who We Amplify
PatchRoot.org highlights regenerative work across land, systems, and community — farmers, land stewards, founders, innovators, educators, builders, artists, policy makers, and systems thinkers alike.
Whether you’re working in deep tech, the arts, community, or any other field, if your work connects to regenerative systems, equity, inclusion, and climate resilience, then you’re in the right place. You’re welcome within these commons.
Our Principles
There are no ads, no fees, and no pay-to-play. Everything we publish is public, open-source, and rooted in shared purpose.
This journal is free to read — no subscriptions. We will not crowdfund or spam for attention; we believe growth will come through merit, authenticity, and the same principles embodied by the people and stories we seek to highlight.
We integrate citizen science as part of our open documentation approach — ensuring the work remains transparent, collaborative, and accessible.

Want to See How It Works?
We’re out in the field, gathering stories and growing this commons together. Thank you from all of us at PatchRoot.org — a seasonal journal and public digital commons.
